“...So do we pass the ghosts that haunt us later in our lives; they sit undramatically by the roadside like poor beggars, and we see them only from the corners of our eyes, if we see them at all. The idea that they have been waiting there for us rarely if ever crosses our minds. Yet they do wait, and when we have passed, they gather up their bundles of memory and fall in behind, treading in our footsteps and catching up, little by little.”--Stephen King

Riddle Me This...: Don't Let Those Chickens Come Home to Roost
My very first boss as an attorney died suddenly recently. Well, it was sudden to me. For him, it was a rare form of cancer that dragged out over several months. I only found out about it because I had emailed him asking him to act as a reference for a position for which I was interviewing. Unfortunately, my last line in the email was "I hope this finds you well." He was not well. His wife responded that he would have been glad to help but that he was dying and only had a few weeks to live. At first I thought it was a joke, but even he wouldn't joke about that. He didn't even last a week after that email.
I encourage each and every one of you to go over and read the rest of Dani's post...
Make sure you have a tissue and an open heart to learning a valuable lesson.
Thank you, Dani! Thank you for sharing your story with us.

i miss my southern friends
FRIENDS: Never ask for food.
SOUTHERN FRIENDS: Always bring the food. And lots of it.
FRIENDS: Will say 'hello'.
SOUTHERN FRIENDS: Will give you a big hug and a kiss. More than one.
FRIENDS: Call your parents Mr. and Mrs.
SOUTHERN FRIENDS: Call your parents Mom and Dad, and often.
FRIENDS: Have never seen you cry.
SOUTHERN FRIENDS: Cry with you. And for you.
FRIENDS: Will eat at your dinner table and leave.
SOUTHERN FRIENDS: Will spend hours there, talking, laughing, and just being together. Then do the dishes before leaving.
FRIENDS: Know a few things about you.
SOUTHERN FRIENDS: Could write a book with direct quotes from you. And most of the time know you better than you do yourself.
FRIENDS: Will leave you behind if that's what the crowd is doing.
SOUTHERN FRIENDS: Will kick the whole crowds' back-ends that left you. Then walk beside you in the front of the crowd.
FRIENDS: Would knock on your door.
SOUTHERN FRIENDS: Walk right in and say, 'Are you home?' If you are not home they will wait.
FRIENDS: Are for a while.
SOUTHREN FRIENDS: Are for life. And then some.
FRIENDS: Might ignore this.
SOUTHERN FRIENDS: Will forward this to all their Southern Friends without hesitation.

One final toss for The Dooze
"Before I proposed to my girlfriend, we had already discussed getting a dog. But what kind? We debated it constantly. We loved Great Danes, but they never seem to live long enough. We loved Newfoundlands, but their back legs go too fast. We loved golden retrievers, but my father had two and we didn't want to copy him. We loved the thought of rescuing a mutt, but we worried about getting one with 'I hate kids' DNA, and we wanted to have kids.
The decision ultimately didn't matter. Unwilling to raise a puppy on the concrete streets of Boston, we decided to wait until we moved ... somewhere. By this time, it was the summer of 2002. I was thinking of taking a job writing for a television show. As part of the deal, we had to move to Los Angeles and leave everyone behind: Our friends, our family, my teams, the things we loved, everything. I needed a change. If you write for a living, it's good to keep moving. Keeps you fresh. My fiancée wasn't as crazy about leaving."

random theories...
so my theory is this: maybe there are only x amount of pregnancies that are allowed to occur at once. and if someone happens to ovulate at the right time (say right after another baby is born) then they are the lucky ones to get pregnant...
yes i know its a stupid bullshit theory but i have to go on something. i want to be a mommie damnit. i get emails like this from my friends who have babies:
SON just had his second birthday not to long ago.. Im trying to get WIFE to get me copies of his pictures so I can send them out. As I always say hes just growing and growing and getting more mature every day. Hes so funny and polite! He says thank you and welcome and please to just about everything. We had snow the other day and I had to take him to an appointment and I put him in the car and then proceeded to clean all the windows around the car of snow and when I got back in the car he said "Good job daddy." He just always says the cutest things.. He found the first food that he said he doesn't like and surprise its broccoli. He will eat small bites of it but he found a big bite and he took it out of his bowl and said "I no like broccoli."
and like this:
wanted to let ya know some news for us. Sorry so belated but we have been very quiet about it cause of the problems in the past - I'm pregnant! I'm 18 weeks along and find out what I'm having in a few weeks. I was going to wait until then to tell more people - but I feel so bad waiting so long! I am due 10 days after my b-day. We are both real excited. I just had to tell you about the new addition that we will have to our family!
i AM happy for my friends! i am.....but damnit, i want a baby too. and seeing the girl in the spa and the salesgirl with thier growing basketball bellies....sigh.
so we're watching Haulin House and these people are cutting a house into six peices! and i asked Joe: "Why are they doing this? A house is a permanant fixture it is not ment to be cut apart and put back together. If it was they'd make em out of Legos!!!"
so ofcourse that started me thinking about the land in Cabot, AR just waiting for us to move onto it. and i was thinking if we could actually pour concrete or another strong material into puzzle type molds that we could peice together.....
yes, i'm insane.
tomorrow is my friday. and i deserve it. the "boss" was out for 2 days sick. my Partner in Crime was out sick today and I had 2 meetings with 2 huge highprofile groups today. AND i got shit done. i kicked ass big time.
and i'm sleepy.
i'm kinda concerned about LoJack. He's not as active as Nilla. Maybe he's just a lazy male? Or he's pissy about being in his ball today. I know the person we got him from use to keep him in his ball to keep him away from the animal he shared a cage with to keep them from hurting eachother.
i can't wait til Friday tho! I got $50 to try and buy me some new shirts for work!!! i'm all set on pants.
and on a final note: i found out from MomI today that her mom (my "grandma") fell down and almost broke her hip but instead cracked her ribs and then DROVE herself to the hospital who then called my Dad to come and get her!!!! and she's getting forgetful. we're really worried about her.
And she also told me that one of my Aunts (one of her sisters that's still living) went to the doc because of pain and a lump in her breast-the did a mamogram and ultrasounds (no biopsy or anything) and told her to go home, she was fine. -- HELLO! 2 of thier sisters DIED from breast cancer! sigh. ( too stressed out --- Death in the Family ) I remember seeing aunt dorothy lying in the bed her body skin and bones with lumps of tumours poking out of her skin. she started out as ovarian, progressed into uterine and then into her breasts and from there went into her lymphnodes. she was given like 2 months to live and sent home on hospice. she lived about 4 months? and died on her birthday.
and on Daddy's side cancer is all in my family. i had another aunt die from Lukemia and i don't think i've talked about it but another one had a breast removed earlier this year because of breast cancer.
it scares me. so much cancer in my family. and me having fought it for 10 years now. i can't believe i've been fighting this for TEN YEARS!!!!
ten fucking years of my life i've spent on meds - doctors and surgeries.
the aunt that recently found the lump said she'd rather not know anyways and turn out like her sisters --chemo and the quality of her life go away.
i'd say i've been lucky. and i need to count my blessings. i might not having any children but i do have my life --and i kinda have my health. and eventually we can adopt a sweet baby or two that need loving and caring parents.

yada yada?
scribing on sneezy is the most boring thing ev-ah
i think all Drake does is sleep
can not wait until we're in our new place!
i wonder if i'll ever get pregnant
i'm afraid about my procedure next week
i'm afraid about the blood work and tests on thursday before the procedure
i want to know what happened to BioM to make her the way she is so i can prevent myself from being like her
my shampoo & conditioner smells like vanilla - my body wash smells like honey & almonds -- when i get out of the shower i smell like candy and it's hard to resist licking myself like a cat...
i'd rather watch childrens cartoons than most adult shows
i have an obsession with fairies, dragons and wizards --unfortunatly i lost 90% of my collections in my divorce --and i'm afraid that Taranis wouldn't appreciate thier beauty if I tried starting a new collection
I miss hanging out with Jugalo & Sakura - Infernogoddess - Suga and all my other friends I left either in Arkansas or Virginia --sometimes I even miss Crystal (the old crystal not the crazy woman who drove us out of her home)
i think i miss Mysterious Devyne & Spike de Vampyre most of all
i wonder if this condo will ever cool off??? im sweatin like a mofo over here...
i hope Taranis' mom likes me... I'd hate to have another mother in law that didn't...
i wonder if i'll ever be "skinny" again
i wonder if there'll come a day where i don't feel pain anymore --besides the day i die--
i still can't get over how beautiful my babysister Raquel is...including the fact that she got married last year... and made the most beautiful bride ev-ah!
i worry about him every day
and i worry about this one too
never did i realize how much this tattoo and it's "symbolism" would truly come to mean in my life...(you must have faith in love even when your heart is bruised and bleeding)
it's amazing how much i can love this man --who was a stranger to me a year and 1/2 ago
the best anniversary present i could have ever wished for

For All of Us Animal Lovers...
The dishes with the paw prints are yours and contain your food. The other dishes are mine and contain my food. Please note, placing a paw print in the middle of my plate and food does not stake a claim for it becoming your food and dish, nor do I find that aesthetically pleasing in the slightest.
The stairway was not designed by NASCAR and is not a race track. Beating me to the bottom is not the object. Tripping me doesn't help because I fall faster than you can run.
I cannot buy anything bigger than a king sized bed. I am very sorry about this. Do not think I will continue sleeping on the couch to ensure your comfort. Dogs and cats can actually curl up in a ball when they sleep. It is not necessary to sleep perpendicular to each other stretched out to the fullest extent possible. I also know that sticking tails straight out and having tongues hanging out the other end to maximize space is nothing but sarcasm.
For the last time, there is no secret exit from the bathroom. If by some miracle I beat you there and manage to get the door shut, it is not necessary to claw, whine, meow, try to turn the knob or get your paw under the edge and try to pull the door open. I must exit through the same door I entered. Also, I have been using the bathroom for years --canine or feline attendance is not required.
The proper order is kiss me, then go smell the other dog or cat. I cannot stress this enough!
BUT to pacify you, my dear pets, I have posted the following message on our front door:
To All Non-Pet Owners Who Visit & Like to Complain About Our Pets:
1. They live here. You don't.
2. If you don't want their hair on your clothes, stay off the furniture. That's why they call it 'fur'niture.
3. I like my pets a lot better than I like most people.
4. To you, they are an animal. To me , he/she is an adopted son/daughter who is short, hairy, walks on all fours and doesn't speak clearly.
Remember: Dogs and cats are better than kids because they:
1.Eat less
2.Don't ask for money all the time
3 Are easier to train
4.Normally come when called
5.Never ask to drive the car
6.Don't have to buy the latest fashions
7.Don't want to wear your clothes
8.Don't need a gazillion dollars for college, and...
9.If they get pregnant, you can sell their children

Happy Labor Day!
Friday: I had to work while Joe stayed home. Later that evening we went on a minidate and got cold stone creamery. After that we came back home and I made fried chicken with stuffing, mashed tators & spinach. Then we played SneezyMud allnight long and went to bed way too late.
Saturday: We got up early and cleaned the house. Afterwards I made biscuits and gravy HMMMM YUMMY! And then our landlord paid a visit with our revised lease and all's well. THEN! the fun began: we played sneezy til time to go to the baseball game! We went to the Schaumburg Flyers game and invited KRM along. It was so much fun! I had an absolute blast. Thanks for sharing in our fun, KRM! It was so wonderful to see you again and I'm happy that Joe had a male to "talk baseball" with! Gods know I know diddly about the game. The tickets were Joe's birthday gift from me. (His birthday is on the 3rd of Sept. Everyone make sure you wish my love a happy birthday!) After the game we came home, played on sneezy and ofcourse we stayed up way too late again!
Sunday: Joe's day to pick what he wanted to do! As if baseball isn't enough! Men :) But me! I'm all for letting him do anything (mostly) and everything (sometimes) that he wants to do. So we headed down to Aurora and had SONIC! for lunch! OHMIGODS and it was so worth the 30 minute drive! Then we headed to the sports dome. My first time ever to play minigolf. It was so fun! Then we did the gokarts. Once again a blast and Joe lapped me twice! And all of the kids did too! I'm such a scaredy cat :) And finally we hit some balls in the batting cages. I did fairly well in the slow softball and medium softball. Joe however kicked ass in them all and the poor guy has blisters from swiinging so much! Talk about a passion needing to be released. I told him that I support his going to find a team to play on, even if its just a little county community team. Lets all wish him luck and give him much cheer and praise that he can do it and he should do what his heart desires!
Ofcourse I got a little too much heat on sunday and ended up crashing out way too early. Today however I had to work but got off 2 1/2 hours early. It was me and 1 other person. I cranked the radio and we busted our asses.
Now I'm going to harass Joe for a while. He needs it.

flippy floppy bazoomika
We have 2 prospects. The first one we're doing a "drive by" tomorrow. I got the address from the guy on the phone today. Should be interesting to see and depending on what we think we're going to tour on saturday. No extra for Drake or Nilla and best of all: no expensive credit shit or needless application fees.
The 2nd we're also doing a drive by on tomorrow. We're taking a tour on thursday after work. This guy said it's $25 app fee per family. And he said that as long as your honest and upfront about what you think is on your report then he has no problem renting to people who have been "down on thier luck". I told him I try to pay atleast a week in advance and shoot for 2. I can't always do it because of the way paychecks fall but I am never late. And when he talks to our Current Landlord he'll confirm it.
I really feel good about this 2nd prospect. He has a few openings comming up soon. It'll give us enough time to gather more funds and work out details with our Landlord on when we're moving out, etc. And he said that if he does sell to the other person within the next week or so that it'd still give us atleast a month or 2 with them dealing and closing before we'd be under the new landlord.
Our Landlord also told me today that in the event it's sold and we havn't found a new place to live that the new owner cannot raise our rent until our lease agreement is up because we have a signed contract and the new owner will assume all contracts made by our landlord and you can't just up people's rent in the middle of a lease agreement... But I don't trust them to not try to jackitup on us.
So Im a bit more calmer today. Not as hating. It helps I had a great day at work. The food sucked ass, but we had a great time just driving around after work looking for apartments in the area. We went and had subway for dinner (which makes Tuna 2x today because I had tuna sandwhich for lunch. No way was I touching thier "pulled pork bbq"). We won 2 free cookies! And we're 1 letter closer to winning some awesome prizes with thier scrabble game. I'd really like to get my hands on the 100 grand or even the Hybrid would be nice. The diamond you could sell and still make mad money.
I seriously could not have asked for a better man in my life. And why or how he puts up with me, I'll never understand. But it seems that every little silly thing I do, makes him love me more. ...Like i have the bright idea to save on money to use empty 2 liter bottles as storage containers for my sugar and flour. (i was using ziplock freezer bags) Well, the sugar poured perfectly......However I was having issues with the flour getting stuck. I'm sure you know what I mean. It created a damn of flour in my funnel. And here comes joe to the rescue and we have flour everywhere. It was wonderful. It was a great exeperience to share together.
Including when I bring home "strangers" and harass pizza joints: We invited a friend of ours from SneezyMud over on Saturday to just hangout, meet and be merry. Well, I got drunk way too early and passed out but woke up when Chekov arrived and we started hanging out. Everything is going good, I cook dinner we have Parmesan Chicken w/ Garlic Linguini. HMMMM delicious! After a while I'm *REALLY* craving Pizza Hut's ApplePizza and Chocolate Dippers:

So what does this still kinda buzzin crazy woman do? I call every Pizza Hut within a 15 mile radius and ask them to deliver, which they don't deliver here. I call every pizza place in a 5 mile radius if they have anything similair-no, if they'd deliver if they did-no. Finally, I give up. I called Dominos (who has had at one point some stuff similair and who, by a miracle will deliver here) and asked them if they had it. Guy said no. I asked him if he was near a pizza hut. He said yes. I asked him if he'd go and get my order from Pizza Hut and deliver to my house since they wont deliver here...
Yes, I did that. And Chekov said that comment alone made the 2.5 hour trip here more than worth it. And ofcourse my Joe had to brag about me to his boss who asked me seriusly there is no way I did that, and yes I did. Because I am awesome like that.

Secret Diary of a Call Girl

Ok so we decided to splurge & go ahead and get the package deal of everything and upgrade from our "just HBO"... Because there are things I want to watch! Like Secret Diary of a Call Girl and The Tudors I watched the 1st season of the Tudors when it was on the free OnDemand via Comast. However the 2nd season you had to pay for Showtime inorder to see it. I've missed a few episodes of the Tudors but I'm sure it'll be nothing to catch back up again. Oh how I love these shows! I'm sure I'll find more that I want to watch...
I guess we're off to take the blazer in for it's checkup. See you soon!

Who is your Hero?
Here is an excerpt: "It’s official. And it is not good. I have hit another anniversary that I never wanted to celebrate.
I realized today that this will be the fifth Fourth of July holiday that I will have someone I love in the sands of Iraq or Afghanistan. Five years of men who I love, who I care about, and who I will worry about in the desert. They are in battle situations, on hazardous roads, and surviving miles away from their loved ones. They are hot, tired, homesick, and trying to do a job most Americans do not understand and most don’t agree with." please go and read the rest.
To answer her question, my heros are:
♥ My UncleD on my BioMother's Side of the Family. He's one of the highest ranking officers now. We're VERY proud of him! He's served 5 tours over in the desert. His first round being the desert storm in the 90s. I didn't know what it ment then what he was doing but I understand now and I stand beside him with all my heart. He's my hero.
♥ My CousinT on my BioMother's Side of the Family. He's an officer as well. Him and his family lived over in Germany during more peaceful times onbase for a good many years. He's had 2 tours currently with this war just recently getting back not long ago. He's my hero.
♥ My Friend TeeJ. He's not been over to Iraq or served at all. He's Just recently graduated from BootCamp. But he is still my hero.
♥ My BestestFriend in the whole world Coolio. He's in the AirForce and moved around like a chess peice from base to base. He's done tours to the desert and other mini missions where he's only gone for a month. (Special Ops) He's my hero that I worry about the most because he dissapears too much and can't tell us about it.
♥ One of my Brothers is in the National Guards but so far he hasn't been sent anywhere yet except bootcamp. But he's still a hero to me because we know he'd go willingly and proudly when its his turn.

Woman: "Are you ever going to help me with the kids?"
Man: "I try to help as much as I can."
Woman: "But you don't do anything. When I ask for help, you always say you can't, or you'll do it later, or some other excuse."
Man: "But, honey, you don't understand. The more I help, the more I cause problems. I can get in the way. I can do something wrong. I can mess something up. The more I'd help, the more you'd need to clean up after me. By NOT helping, I'm actually doing more than you think."

Guy: Something like that.
Girl: Is it like a frumpie? I think I'm more comfortable getting fucked in the ass by a girl than a guy. I mean, it's like the oral thing -- I'd rather lick a pussy while you fuck me than suck a dick.
Guy: Alright.
Girl: I can't believe your neighbor knocked on your door to shut us up! That was too funny.
Guy: She's British. She doesn't really understand rough sex, just tea and finding her husband in her thongs.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force
Dude, this is freakin hilarious! ATHF is one of my most fave shows ever. When Juggalo lived with me and Hephaestus the 3 of us would watch it all the time. Hephaestus was like the Frylock of us, Juggalo was Meatwad, I was Master Shake (if you knew mine and Juggalo's friendship as well as the interactions between Shake and Meatwad you'd understand). We use to consider Mars (H's bro) to be the character Carl.
Anyways, I was just sittin here watching some of the episodes they have on adultswim.com and thought I'd share. there are more episodes online through the above site if you care to watch them as well. And if you want to get more behind the scenes info on the tv show and upcomming movie, then click on the link below "read more".
