On to other non sports related news:

  we got our keys today and laid out a game plan for our new home... i'm really frustrated with it. i didn't look hard enough while we were in the talking portion and them showing it to us... i caught the mildew in the bathroom cabinets and they cleaned that out. its rusty underneath --the place is old and dated and that really sets me off-- the person who rented the place for 3 years before us did absolutely nothing but minor surface cleaning. which means we get to go in and do a deep cleaning. i don't know why our future landlords have not.

 i'm going to buy cabinet and drawer liners to go in them before i put my own things in there. because really, it's bugging me.

  and when i say its dated.... the doors are metal... like metal metal. not wood or even particle board but metal... aluminum metal. seriously they need to update the place but i was just --oh a 2 bed in our price range with a garage and washer/dryer (which looks as old as moses --hope it works decent), etc etc -- i guess there are lots of things we should have brought up to be taken care of... like the sliding glass door to the should be patio area (it's a dead flower garden) is so hard to open and the window treatments are a pain in the ass.

  ok so all i'm doing is bitching about my new home. i should be thankful i have a place to live.

  either they are going to let me renovate/change some shit or they are --and the 1st thing that's going to be delt with is the aluminum doors and plastic cabintry...

but now we have room to grow! --babie's room here we come!!!! (til then it's just going to be occupied by my pagany stuff)

ps... one way to set me off: don't fuck with my laundry --someone took my cloths out of the washer!!! yeap! and we were only 10 mins shy of the dryers ending ---i have sat here for 3 hours before waiting for some moron to take thier shit out of the washer and dryer and NEVER touched a goddamn thing of thiers -- i guess its a good thing we're moving -- because it was the people who live across the way from us --literally door to door....

damn fucking stupid polocks. (and i can say this cuz thier fresh off the boat polish)

It's a sad day...

When TV makes you want to have a cigarette... I switch over to watch the Series Premier of 90210 and what is it on my TV?! Fucking who? The cubs? Keep giving me reasons to want to watch them blow it and lose! Going into overtime when I should be watching my tv show! I took a friggin nap so I could stay and up and watch it and now your just pissing me off by going into the 11th inning.

As if certain people being fans of the cubs doesn't give me enough reasons to want to boo them into the ground... you've just given me.............oh so far 45 minutes worth of booing! i should be watching 90210 right now!

They KNEW my tv show was comming on tonight. They should have rescheduled the game around the TV show. OH! Sorry guys, 90210 is on! We need to call a 2 hour time out while the premier airs. We'll resume after it's over with.

OR MAYBE! they could have just been smart and cancelled or postponed the game until the show is over! Now that's a marvel idea!!!

Friday: I had to work while Joe stayed home. Later that evening we went on a minidate and got cold stone creamery. After that we came back home and I made fried chicken with stuffing, mashed tators & spinach. Then we played SneezyMud allnight long and went to bed way too late.

Saturday: We got up early and cleaned the house. Afterwards I made biscuits and gravy HMMMM YUMMY! And then our landlord paid a visit with our revised lease and all's well. THEN! the fun began: we played sneezy til time to go to the baseball game! We went to the Schaumburg Flyers game and invited KRM along. It was so much fun! I had an absolute blast. Thanks for sharing in our fun, KRM! It was so wonderful to see you again and I'm happy that Joe had a male to "talk baseball" with! Gods know I know diddly about the game. The tickets were Joe's birthday gift from me. (His birthday is on the 3rd of Sept. Everyone make sure you wish my love a happy birthday!) After the game we came home, played on sneezy and ofcourse we stayed up way too late again!

Sunday: Joe's day to pick what he wanted to do! As if baseball isn't enough! Men :) But me! I'm all for letting him do anything (mostly) and everything (sometimes) that he wants to do. So we headed down to Aurora and had SONIC! for lunch! OHMIGODS and it was so worth the 30 minute drive! Then we headed to the sports dome. My first time ever to play minigolf. It was so fun! Then we did the gokarts. Once again a blast and Joe lapped me twice! And all of the kids did too! I'm such a scaredy cat :) And finally we hit some balls in the batting cages. I did fairly well in the slow softball and medium softball. Joe however kicked ass in them all and the poor guy has blisters from swiinging so much! Talk about a passion needing to be released. I told him that I support his going to find a team to play on, even if its just a little county community team. Lets all wish him luck and give him much cheer and praise that he can do it and he should do what his heart desires!

Ofcourse I got a little too much heat on sunday and ended up crashing out way too early. Today however I had to work but got off 2 1/2 hours early. It was me and 1 other person. I cranked the radio and we busted our asses.

Now I'm going to harass Joe for a while. He needs it.

A Day at the Zoo

So my baby and I went to the Lincoln Park Zoo today. It was my first time riding on a train. Kinda neat getting there faster than we would have in a car and definatly cheaper because of gas and having to pay for parking. Didn't take us long to walk around the zoo. We saw some beautiful lions. But my absolute favorite was the polar bears. There was one that kept swimming up to the glass and opening her jaw like she was going to bite. Absolutely wonderful.

The reptile house was a little too crowded to enjoy it. The bird house was pretty neat and the Penguin house was a little dissapointing because the glass was dirty and foggy and they weren't in the water swimming around, couldn't see em. I was going to take pictures but joe grabbed the wrong size batteries, but that's ok. We'll go again another time. We saw some wild african dogs and they were just absolutely beautiful!

When we got done with the zoo we went to the plant house that near it. That was pretty neat. I really loved the fern room because they tried to set it up like how it would be if dinosaurs were living in it.

Then when we got dropped off at our stop on the way back we decided to go check out a gym that's open 24/7 near the house. And we decided to sign up. $150 for both of us to start off and $80 a month for both of us. Not bad, we got the family special. That includes personal trainers as well. Our first session is on Friday. But right now we have a week long guest pass to come and use the treadmills/whatever at our convenience to make sure first. The training schedule we have is Mon, Tues and Thurs with the trainers. And ofcourse free to use the facilities inbetween on our own.

I no longer have physical therapy. I can't remember if I said this yet or not. That was on monday. It was a mutual decision between me, joe and the therapist. So my doctor referred me to get an MRI for my lumbar area and also referred me to a pain specialist. My MRI is for this comming Tuesday. I've had one before, I vaguely remember it. I was too doped up on morphine. I've put in a message to the specialist for them to call me and make an appointment for after the MRI.

Anyways, we talked to one of the trainers and he said he knows of different core excersises that shouldn't hurt me and help strengthen me and allow me to lose weight. He said in about 6 months they can have me to 1/2 my goal. Not bad huh? We'll see. We need to keep a food diary. Tomorrow I'm going to get Joe and I mini notebooks so we can write down daily what we're eating and take them in with us. They said they'll help us develop better nutiritional habbits that is complimentary to both our needs. Joe wants to build muscle and develop his abs/arms while toning and I just want to lose the fucking stomach fat and flabby arms.

We bought Nilla a new house today. And found some treats that Drake will actually eat. Her new house is one of those connectables and stackables so it's expandable. It's some contraption I tell ya. We're trying to figure a way to connect the old cage with the new one......

And on a sad note: It looks like my Fave NFL player of all time is longer playing with the Packers. You heard me: Instead of letting Favre come back as the starting quarterback for the Packers they traded him to the Jets and he will be the starting quarterback for the Jets. He's already winning games for them, they won thier first preason game against the Cleveland Browns by 4 points. I'm sad to see him leave the Packers. I'm still a Packers fan. I'm really dissapointed that he's not playing for them and I understand that he wants to play and he should be allowed to play. I can't believe they traded off the best damn player they'll ever have. And refused to let him start instead of Aaron Rodgers. It's been a sad week in NFL history. He said there is no guarantee he'll want to play again next season but he had to have one more season and since the Packers wouldn't let him start he said he wanted to be traded to a team that would let him be the starting quarterback.

Ok I guess that's all for me...I'm gonna catch up on my blog reading.

well, it's been a sports blog huh?

seems that i've been really busy lately. altho busy with what exactly: SneezyMud. and home life. no point in bitching about the same shit every day so i decided not to. The past few weeks i've been driving myself back and forth to work, footing all the gas. And i've made it. also i've been paying all my bills and not behind on any of them exept those that are like the medical bills and i'm making a dent, however small, its a dent.

i plan on flying home for the holidays. leaving the thurs before xmas and returning the thursday after.

other than all that, nothing much but I gotta switch out my laundry. check back, i might write more in a bit. or a few days.

Favre connects for TD pass No. 421 to break Marino mark

Favre broke Dan Marino's record for career touchdown passes Sunday, zipping No. 421 to Greg Jennings in the first quarter of the game against the Minnesota Vikings.

He hit Jennings on a 16-yard slant for the score with 4:56 left in the quarter.

It's the latest, and possibly the most hallowed record claimed by the league's last true gunslinger. Two weeks ago, Favre broke John Elway's mark for career victories by a quarterback when he led the Packers to a 35-13 win over the New York Giants.

The soon-to-be 38-year-old also holds the marks for career completions and consecutive starts by a quarterback, which hit 241 Sunday, moving him past former Vikings center Mick Tingelhoff into second place on the list for all players.

Former Vikings defensive end Jim Marshall holds the all-time mark with 270 consecutive starts.

Favre entered the day needing just 11 attempts to break Marino's record for passes and is also within shouting distance of Marino's record for yards passing.

Favre tied Marino's record with three touchdown passes in the Packers' 31-24 victory over San Diego last week, including the record-tying 57-yard completion to Jennings that gave the Packers the lead late in the game.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, coach Lovie Smith early today might pull the plug on QB Rex Grossman and turn to Brian Griese, who was signed in March 2006. This would be the 31st change at starting quarterback for the franchise in the last 127 games. Offensive coordinator Ron Turner defended not yanking Grossman during the game, even after his third interception that gave him six for the season.

 

I'd hate to see them put in Greise and start winning games but seriously Grossman just got lucky lastyear and the past games they've played this new season just proves that fact.

GREEN BAY PACKERS
The PackersNews.com reports that the Packers remain committed to Aaron Rodgers as their quarterback of the future. At 37 and in his 17th NFL season, Brett Favre had one of his best games in Sunday's 35-13 win over the New York Giants. Rodgers is in the third year of the five-year contract. If Favre plays one more year and the Packers don't do anything to Rodgers' contract, he would take over as the starter going into the final year of his deal.

 

I like Rodgers, I think he's a great quaterback. But I want Favre to be in it for as long as possible.

Brett Favre threw his 420th career touchdown pass in the 4th quarter of the Green Bay Packers' game against the San Diego Chargers at Lambeau Field on Sunday, tying Dan Marino's all-time NFL record. He finished the game with 369 yards passing on 28-of-45 completions and three touchdown passes. Favre, who is playing his 17th NFL season and turns 38 next month, was credited with a 57-yard completion to Greg Jennings, who ran a slant pattern from the left side. The touchdown, with 2:03 remaining, gave the Packers a 24-21 lead. Following the touchdown, Favre sprinted down field with his arms in the air and got down on his knees to congratulate Jennings. Favre then picked up his favorite receiver Donald Driver before heading to the sideline where teammates were lining up to hug the new record holder.
