6:00 am alarm going off... i've FINALLY found a position i am comfortable in and can sleep soundly... snooze snooze snooze.... 45 minutes later! shit!! GO GET IN THE SHOWER...
rush to work BARELY make it with a moment to spare and drop my purse before i head off to do liquor inventory (its not as fun as it sounds, would be funner if we could drink it) to count literaly THOUSANDS of bottles of booze in all its glorious different varies from oversized industrial to small minis... kill me now, the a/c was out!! and the concrete is hard :(
finally 3 1/2 hours later i am able to do MY work. and in just the nick of time i am caught up! yeap. that fast. how did i do it when i was so far behind because of that manager quitting and leaving me 10 open invoices? i don't know but I did. and let me tell you, its not my fault she didn't approve them or correct them if there were things that should have been done. She didn't communicate to us at all on anything when she left.
i left myself a nice present for in the morning: a multi-million dollar invoice. the only thing i was able to print off was the guest rooms and that took an hour itself. (average invoice 5 minutes) i am NOT looking forward to sorting through the billing on that S.O.B. nope, not at all...going to be an all day affair and on top of the fact that I have FOOD inventory tomorrow that'll kill me standing in the freezer on cold concrete...
but why should i complain, i have a job right? slap me before i slap myself...
finally i get off work and go to pick up Joe. call my daddy on the way. he's going to pay for our trip to Indiana for MomI's sisters' gold anniversary/family reunion. hotel and gas. WOOT! less thing i have to worry about!
then i call the TV people. at first she says she has a last minute cancel at 5:30 and she'll call me right back (for today) and then she calls me back 15 minutes later "no, we can do it tomorrow at 6pm"... still no tv...
we get home and try to relax when Drake jumps on my lap. His eye is swelled shut and he's acting like he's in pain. So I call the Golf Rose Animal Hospital where we went earlier this month when Kai and him were both sick... they wouldn't help me. REFUSED to help!! I was so pissed off. he is THIER patient and they told me "if you don't like our policies you can go elsewhere"... there policy being they are going to charge me $100 visit fee AGAIN to bring him BACK in AGAIN for a sickness they already TOLD me to use his Eye ointment for 2 weeks... 2 weeks and its not better and your going to tell ME that i have to pay you $100 more dollars on top of the $500 this month you've gotten out of me? I was livid and pissed off. They said "oh, we're sure he's fine and your over reacting, cats get teary eyed alot"... wtf? seriously???
so we went to another vet 45 minutes away, one that would accept a CC over the phone from FMIL. Drake has an ulcer in his eye and had it gone untreated or treated improperly like it was he could have gone and still could go blind in that eye if it doesn't clear up. it will spread and take over his eye. so we have different drops and if he doesn't clear up in 3-4 days we have an ocular (eye) specialist for cats (this will get expensive fast) to take him to for treatments...
my epidural: i am doing amazingly well! rarely am i getting shooting down into my leg and my back is just achy, its not horrible like before so on a scale of 0-10 i rate it between 0-3 which is much better than the 7-10+++ i was when i went in! yay for epidurals altho i refused to have them at first....
“...So do we pass the ghosts that haunt us later in our lives; they sit undramatically by the roadside like poor beggars, and we see them only from the corners of our eyes, if we see them at all. The idea that they have been waiting there for us rarely if ever crosses our minds. Yet they do wait, and when we have passed, they gather up their bundles of memory and fall in behind, treading in our footsteps and catching up, little by little.”--Stephen King

Oh my God. Poor Drake. I hope he gets better fast and without the surgery.
ReplyDeletePoor Drake. :( That vet was an idiot. Cats don't get teary eyed a lot. What a quack!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are doing better. Hopefully the pain will go completly away.
Aww I'm sorry to hear the vet is a moron. I hope he's doing better very soon.
