My youngest aunt got married this weekend. beautiful event, tragic ending. at the reception a man got too drunk, when to his truck got his hand gun and opened fire on everyone.
my aunt is in critical condition in Little Rock as well as her newly wed husband. she has a gun shot wound to the head. he was shot in the neck, they think he may be paralyzed. she is going into another surgery on her brain in about 10 mins or so.
this man also shot someone else in the lungs who did not make it. her son's arm was grazed by a bullet and others were midley wounded while the rest are completely shaken up.
i wont know anything else for another 3 hours when she gets out of surgery.
“...So do we pass the ghosts that haunt us later in our lives; they sit undramatically by the roadside like poor beggars, and we see them only from the corners of our eyes, if we see them at all. The idea that they have been waiting there for us rarely if ever crosses our minds. Yet they do wait, and when we have passed, they gather up their bundles of memory and fall in behind, treading in our footsteps and catching up, little by little.”--Stephen King
