Was awesome. For one, we traded necklaces. His chain was too long. And I wear 2 necklaces, a short one that I change the charm depending on my mood and a long one that I keep my pentacle on.
Well, Bro was gonna pay someone to shorten the chain or buy another one. I traded him my "charm" one for his. Its pretty awesome. The chain I was wearing my Pentacle on is gettin really old and I've had to fix it a few times, so I changed out my chain for that one. This is really nice in 2 ways. #1, we managed to help each other out (again) and #2, we now have something of each other's and thats really special to me and him.
I'm gonna go to church with them Tomorrow (well, tonight..Monday) and listen to him talk about his missionary work. He's a Missionary. One of the major things right now is there trying to build a school in Mulawi (sp?), Africa. They need 10k for the cement. A total of 100k for the entire project. I'm gonna get the information from him tomorrow and post it here on the site and keep it on the sidebar, for those of you that would like to Donate to help build this school for the Mulawi Children. I think its a great thing. I'm gonna be helping locally to help raise what money we can here towards it.
My day today is going to be spent teaching my Bro how to build a webpage. This should be interesting :) As you all can tell, I dont do too shabby of work. And this is just my hobby page. You should see the professional pages I've built. Man, thier awesome. One of these days I'll showem to ya. But I do like to keep my Professional and Private lives seperated. Thats the reason why I call the band I work for TheBand, to keep those seperated. And really, I don't want to be harassed about 'can we have tickets? can you get us autographs' and crap like that. *grin*
I have the offer on the table to go to Mulawi with them, to work FOR my bro, but nothing with the ministry. Since that would be the case, I'd have to come up with my own $$$ to get me there. Wonderful opportunity. But I think I'll pass this time. Maybe go for a visit later.
HOWEVER, something we will be discussing later is the fact that I can still work for him a little bit here in the US. I mean, TheBand and other people I work for are in other states. Why not extend myself to other Countries? Yes, most of the work I do right now is 'free' to a point. I don't charge as much as I could. Which is probly killing me financially....ok, its not helping! But I don't care. I enjoy doing what I do. And it gets my name out there as well as a nice portfolio.
Anyhoot.
I got to talk to LS and LD today. It was awesome. LS said he'd bring me back an aligator from Lousiana. But I think I might have talked about that already?! Not sure. But it was a funny story. If I havn't wrote about it, I guess I will later.
I got to talk to Dman today. He's so awesome. Too bad he's married. Another one of those "all the good men are taken or in jail because they were being 'good' men" --you know, the ones that defend a woman or child and end up in jail becaues they killed someone for doing something bad?! Yea... So ya, all the good ones are taken. But I'm keeping my eye out. Not really wanting anything serious. But it would be nice to have someone that would, I dont know... lol. Be an awesome friend with some really great benefits?! lol
G'nite! Girls will be waking up really early I'm sure.
“...So do we pass the ghosts that haunt us later in our lives; they sit undramatically by the roadside like poor beggars, and we see them only from the corners of our eyes, if we see them at all. The idea that they have been waiting there for us rarely if ever crosses our minds. Yet they do wait, and when we have passed, they gather up their bundles of memory and fall in behind, treading in our footsteps and catching up, little by little.”--Stephen King
4-30-11 = Best Day of My Life
Thanks for the visit! I'm going to try not getting attached to any more pets because I get all teary eyed when they die. I'll save my pet love to ones my wife will enjoy too. Take care!
ReplyDeleteYou should post some links to some of your professional work. I was doing a little of the same kind of thing when I lived in Nashville, but there's TONS of competition down there... Must have been hard to turn down a trip to Africa (of course, it wasn't paid for...)
ReplyDeleteI'm thinkig of ways that I can post my professional work but still keep it seperate. Like using the same layouts but change names, etc... And not post the actual link to the actual company... We'll see :) Keep your eyes open for a post about it. I might be brave. lol
