and now time for the fun stuff!

i havn't had a smoke since wednesday. i think that this time i'll be done with em! keep your fingers crossed.

both my aunt and her husband are home and doing well.

i completely cleaned out my closet in regards to my 'business' clothes. i bought 3 new shirts today and 2 pairs of pants. why? well, i've been slacking and wearing polos and khakis which is ok for the recreation part of the resort/spa but not in accounting... so i got up this morning and took joe to work and when i came home i started trying on my clothes in the closet. i know that i've gained about 50 lbs since i've had to wear these clothes (which makes me sick) and sure enough. nothing fits. so i've taken all those and put em into a duffle bag and tucked em away in the bottom of the closet. i cross my fingers that soon i'll be wearing them again and buying that size and smaller again, definatly smaller. and that's just the "business" clothes, i havn't even tackled the casual clothes yet...

i think that after we get joe's grill next week and we get the blazer's A/C fixed (my mechanic is gonna let me pay it out like he did the ignition switch. i take it in wednesday) we can get a treadmill and it's something that we both can use.

my 3 hours early thursday morning are being dropped. no more getting up at 4:30 am on thursdays, i can sleep in and not feel so groggy all day. which is good/bad and has its own pros and cons... some bad news on the career front is no more free/discounted treatments. if your not fulltime and an employee of the spa for atleast 3 years, no more pedicures for me, not that i even took advantage of it but i was going to later this month or early next and get me and joe a couples massage. not now.

1 more week til my bday party next friday. make sure you RSVP if you got an invite if you havn't already... I don't want to have too much or too little food. and then the monday after that (the actual date of my birthday) is my next checkup regarding "the issues of the womanly things".... cross your fingers that the pills did thier job and that she takes me off them and cross your fingers that being off these damn pills helps me to shed some of this excess weight that snuck up on me over the last year.

my goals:
  • by the end of the summer to lose the 50 lbs i've gained
  • by the end of the year to have lost a total of 100 lbs
  • by the end of the year to have a different job and/or have been transferred to accounting fulltime and no longer working weekends.
  • by June of 2009 to beable to wear my bikini
  • to have our house in Cabot,AR and celebrating my 30th in Arkansas with all my friends and family.

    1. darlin' - be careful here. 100 pounds in 6 months is pretty ambitious (and very possibly not healthy).

Set yourself into the 'habit building' mode of (1) eating a bit less (2) eating a bit better/healthier and (3) being a bit more active. Work to amp up doing (2) and (3) as you go.

Do all 3 over time and you'll lose the excess weight in a steady and healthy way. The new habits built will let you keep it off. Target about 2 pounds a week.

    2. Hey good to hear from you again. Congrats on the lack of cigarettes. Those are great summer goals, just take each one step at a time so that you can enjoy the change each will bring :)
