we slept in today. and went out to Applebee's for lunch. YUMMMY! and since there is one right across the street, we walked over there and walked back. then we sat around for a few hours (ahem I'll spare you the details)... and then we decided we were going to go to the movies. well, nothing that we really wanna see on the big screen so we thought we'd walk down to Blockbuster. Well, the one that's suppose to be our neighborhood we couldn't find so we came back, hopped in the blazer and went to find one. We rented The Mist and Resident Evil:Extinction. Both awesome movies. The ending to RE is a killer and there will be a another one! YAY!
So anyways, I'm gonna go. Just wanted to let ya know I got off my selfpitying ass and did something today! haha :-)
OH! when I do my walk, I'm walking just over a mile so that's good!
11pm edit: OK! we were in the middle of The Mist when Joe's Ma called and that's when I wrote this post.......ahem. YEA. They followed the story along very well until the end.... WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT DAMN SHIT, YOU DON'T MAKE HIM KILL HIS SON AND THE WOMAN WHO WOULD NOW BE THE SON'S MOTHER AND THEN HAVE ONLY HIM BE RESCUED.
Ok, I've had my peace.
“...So do we pass the ghosts that haunt us later in our lives; they sit undramatically by the roadside like poor beggars, and we see them only from the corners of our eyes, if we see them at all. The idea that they have been waiting there for us rarely if ever crosses our minds. Yet they do wait, and when we have passed, they gather up their bundles of memory and fall in behind, treading in our footsteps and catching up, little by little.”--Stephen King

Good to hear you got up and did something. I wasn't trying to mean, but I think you needed a little bit of a slap back there.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was personally crashed, a friend commented that when one is down and sitting dead in the water, one can't catch onto to anything. One needs to get moving to start with (not being overly focused on direction) and then once moving, adjust the pace and direction (sort of like mergin onto a freeway or getting on a moving walkway). I don't know if that makes sense to anyone else, but it was sort of epiphany-like to me (OK, maybe epiphany-lite is more accurate).
i could never be upset with you for just being my friend and sayin how you feel. and i know you wasn't being mean.
ReplyDeleteNuance is oft lost in purely written communication (and I have learned the hard way not to underestimate the ability of a woman to take anything exactly the wrong way when she is down or mad).
