got another warning tonight. turning onto Irving Park Road off a side street where there is a traffic light. The light was red, I slowed down looked to the left, saw no headlights and continued to make my right hand turn. a moment later, blue lights behind me. thankfully no ticket, got a warning. he said to make sure I stop. he claims I never slowed down, but I'm not gonna argue with the man. I told him thankyou I'd be more careful in the future, etc. and I *thought* there was a cop behind me and so i made sure that I did stop at the 2 stop signs between work and that traffic light, he claims that I barely paused for his taste. I'm thinking buddy what do you want me to do? Sit there for 5 minutes? I stopped and I went. Just as quick as that...sigh. He said that for 3 violations on 1 street I should get a ticket but he'll give me a warning because he understands being in a rush to get home after working all night but said to be careful about it and no speeding.
so I get my warning and I'm off to turn onto Prospect which becomes Arlington Heights road that I follow all the way to Algonquin to get home. and guess who pulls up besides me and *WAVES* and *SMILES* at me at the traffic light in the intersection of Prospect and Thorndale road? My cop that pulled me over. I expected him to roll down his window and say something like "fancy meeting you here, miss"
all in all he was a nice cop. i've been pulled over by some real dicks before. or well, don't get me wrong, i havn't been pulled over that much.5 times I think? that isn't much at all. the 1st time, well... I'll tell that story another day. right now I should probly go crawl into bed with my man and get some shut eye. tonight was absolutely dead, #1 because of the lightning i had to shut down the pool, 30 minutes after I did the lights went out for about 30 minutes. all in all, the pool was shut down 95% of the night. how fun! I get to go in a 2pm today, 2 hours early, how fun!
............dropped my flat tire off at my guy today, it had shrapnel lodged in it. atleast that's what he called it. so i get to pick it up tomorrow on my way to work. oh joy oh fun! so i have to leave way earlier than normal and i have no idea what my joe wants to do tomorrow and he's already crashed in bed.
good night, sweet dreams and i'll tell you the story of the first time i got pulled over in a few days or something.
“...So do we pass the ghosts that haunt us later in our lives; they sit undramatically by the roadside like poor beggars, and we see them only from the corners of our eyes, if we see them at all. The idea that they have been waiting there for us rarely if ever crosses our minds. Yet they do wait, and when we have passed, they gather up their bundles of memory and fall in behind, treading in our footsteps and catching up, little by little.”--Stephen King

Yeah, somehow the hot chicks always seem to manage to talk their way out of tickets.
