apartment hunting

so joe faxed in that application to the place in mt prospect. the woman calls me today and says she never got the application but the apartment is ours if we want it. well i had just gotten back from the place in addison, and oh my gods it is so beautiful and gorgeous. its a 1 bedroom but its huge. the space is open and airy and just marvelously beautiful. it comes with a washer/dryer, dishwasher, garbage disposal, microwave, brandnew stove & fridge. hell the microwave is new too. the bathroom is wonderful and there is a huge walk-in closet. its amazing!

taranis is sure that we'll get it. so sure he told me to tell the lady in mt prospect that we changed our mind on that place. well, i honestly never expected to hear from her again. when i called back i got her voicemail and left her a voicemail. i hate doing things like that...

sigh so anyways. this condo in addison is amazing. 700 amonth! that's 100 more than we're paying now and its a beautiful place. its downstairs. newly painted. the prospective landlord is a really nice guy who is very friendly and about our age. he bought it to flipit but the economy is so bad lately (don't i know i felt it when i was laid off) that he decided to just rent it out instead of selling it.

so that's whats going on in my little world. xpress has gotten a few leads for me and has gotten people who are interested in me. my interview yesterday went well with the mentally challenged folks but its a little more of a drive that i'd not really want to do again... but i will if it means money. 1 of the jobs xpress put me in for is 15 an hour in elk grove which is alot closer!

so i'm home doing laundry... nothing else going on. we have a place we're looking at tomorrow in the city of west chicago. (not the westside of chicago) that sounds promising as well. but taranis is pretty sure we'll get this place in addison. he said he has a feeling...

i can't feel anything but nervousness.
