Black Eye

So, While i was lookin for what I'm about to share with you. Orion calls me. Mom hands me the phone and sure enough, what do I DO? I poke my eye with the antennae of the phone. OUCHIE. So we had a huge laugh about it. Mom said "what did he say" and I was like "he didn't say nothing" and mom says "with the laugh you just did he probly said 'i know of better places to poke you'" I was like MOM! It aint even like that...

*mothers*

So, on to what I was searching for... Scorpions, winds of change

and here is the lyrics
I folow the moskva
Down to gorky park
Listening to the wind of change
An august summer night
Soldiers passing by
Listening to the wind of change

The world is closing in
Did you ever think
That we could be so close, like brothers
The future's in the air
I can feel it everywhere
Blowing with the wind of change

Take me to the magic of the moment
On a glory night
Where the children of tomorrow dream away
In the wind of change

Walking down the street
Distant memories
Are buried in the past forever
I folow the moskva
Down to gorky park
Listening to the wind of change

Take me to the magic of the moment
On a glory night
Where the children of tomorrow share their dreams
With you and me
Take me to the magic of the moment
On a glory night
Where the children of tomorrow dream away
In the wind of change

The wind of change
Blows straight into the face of time
Like a stormwind that will ring the freedom bell
For peace of mind
Let your balalaika sing
What my guitar wants to say

Take me to the magic of the moment
On a glory night
Where the children of tomorrow share their dreams
With you and me
Take me to the magic of the moment
On a glory night
Where the children of tomorrow dream away
In the wind of change

I rather think that this is appropriate and does fit our war today as well as the ones before.

However, I was just a "kid" when Dessert Storm happened. I vaguely remember any of it. Except of the fact that I was informed of my Uncles and Cousins going off to fight overseas. Some not comming back. Others comming back changed and "distant" from the family. Thankfully, they have "become thierselves" again as best as possible.

I'm sure I'll never forget the war we're in now. Its too huge. But I was a child then. I didn't understand what was going on. However, I understand now. And I stand up next to my country and our Soldiers and every American out there Proudly of who we are.
