Ok, so like, the hubby has been in a funk. I can understand why. The bills and stuff aren't that nice to us... BUT, he seems to be comming out of the Funk, which is a good thing that I took the advice of a friend of mine and sent Jugalo to stay with his woman, Sakura for a week or so.
Today started out rocky, (no details, sorry) and the past few days have been rocky (in the relationship) but now it seems that things are getting back on track. Every relationship has its issues and if you think yours doesn't, wake up and smell the Dying Roses. EVERY relationship has issues!!! I'm tired of some of you thinking and actin like Hephaestus and I aren't "in love" or something else bad because we get into our tiffs. Big Deal! Its always over something "un-important" or something that shouldn't be riffed about at all. When it comes to major delimae's, for the most part we are on the same wave length. And if not, it might take a few moments to understand each other's view points, but its all turns out good.
Its so good infact, that I just got done fucking him stupid! *giggle* now, you tell me, are we good or what!?
SO, anyways, I read over some of the insurance inforation today reguarding dental and health. I'm really dissapointed, but Celergy's insurance doesn't cover infertility. When Hephaestus first started working for them, they had Aetna insurance (the insurance we had when he worked with Staley, the one that helped cover our asses and save my womanlies) They have the option to do so, but they have opted not to. Which brings me to why I am pissed today... BLUE CROSS AND BLUE SHIELD (who is our insurance provider) has ABORTION standard! That's right, ABORTION is standard, to murder some innocent helpless baby is standard. INFERTILITY treatments are not standard. Your employer has to option for this extra coverage though BCBS. WITH AETNA INFERTILITY IS STANDARD! What does that mean? Well, that means that I believe that Aetna, even tho it is a little more expensive (and worth it in my eyes) is the better insurance provider that I have found. EVER. PERIOD. THE BEST so far.
Ya, Ya, shouldn't be worrying about having a baby when we can't even support ourselves, I can hear it now. Well you all can shut up! Because Hephaestus is getting a check for almost $900 for MILEAGE due to traveling. PLUS we are getting our regularly scheduled paychecks (averaging $700 to $900 every 2 weeks). (Meaning, we'll be outa the hole in no time and plan on staying there)-- unemployment and losing ones job takes a toll on the finances tremendously. This equals to be about $900 extra a month due to traveling to pilots. They are paying him over $ .40 a mile. How sweet is that! Things are starting to look up. However, I will be making a phone call to Hephaestus's corporate office in California and requesting that they please reconsider adding infertility coverage. Its not fair that someone who goes out and get thierself knocked up because thier irresponsible is allowed to MURDER thier child, when I can't even have children because it costs too damned much without (and even with its expensive) insurance. And not just me, thier are MANY women out thier who cannot have children, who would love to adopt an unwanted pregnancy baby. But instead thier allowed to murder the child. Those women I have no respect for. None what-so-ever!
However, if the circumstances are diff (rape of a minor, etc) then I can understand to a point. But the first and foremost option should be giving it up for adoption if they KNOW they dont want to keep it. Abortion is thrown into young girl's and women's faces as a solution. Its not a solution, its murder.
A man and woman go to court. The woman wants to abort, the man wants to keep the baby and raise it himself. The courts allow her to abort it, he wants nothing but the baby, no childsupport, nothing. So she is allowed to murder the child.
A man is put on trial for murdering his unborn child!!! *mind blowing* He didnt want her to have the baby, she wanted to have it. They get into a fight and He hits her in the tummy and kills it. Yet, he's put on trial for murdering the unborn child still in its first tri-mester. Seems like a double standard to me.
But, this posting was not suppose to be my ranting and ravings of not being able to concieve and about how pissed I get knowing that women are allowed to use Abortion as a form of "birth control."
Dental insurance, we have Dental Coverage now, some of the stuff is at no charge, thier is a $50 deductable which isn't bad. But the maximum they pay out a year is $2,500. After that, its all out of your pocket. If it falls under the "no charge" its suppose to be no charge no matter what. But if it doesn't fall under the no charge, and its more than $2,500 your screwed. Like Hephaestus's estimated out of pocket (just over the phone consultation) is ATLEAST 10 grand. TEN THOUSAND dollars... Thats just the over the phone consultation, it could be more or it could be less once we get in there... So, I have alot of saving to do. Cuz whether its 10k or 25k, I have got to do this. I figure that the damned dental people could be a little bit more reasonable like the Health Insurance people. With the health insurance we have a $500 deductable for each individual (or $1,000 for family). Until you hit $500 (or $1,000 pending on your plan rate), you pay it out of pocket. After you reach the $500, they start paying 80%. Once your total out of pocket is $3,500 for Indivdual ($6,000 for family) they start paying 100%. I dont remember having a deductable with Aetna, but Hephaestus said that it could have been covered under 1 visit because of my health issues. I never got a bill from the Dr. and I only had to pay co-payments of $25 (who I'm assuming you pay the deductable to?? if its for services rendered) So, I'm assuming I never had a deductable with Aetna AND they had infertility standard. That includes all testing, Oral medications (not injectables which are harder on the body, so I wouldnt' opt for that treatment anyways) and Invitro was covered too. If I had to have a surrogate (part of the infertility) it would be covered.
Enough of this, now you know why I'm so pissy all the time. Once we get back on our feet, I want to have children, but at this rate, with no infertility coverage, that will put us in the red (negative). And I'm sure you can't get a bank loan for wanting to have Invitro done. You want to know how much it is for a round of chlomid? Over $300. Almost $400. Thats for 5 days. Thats at 1 pill for 5 days. Thats a 50 mg a pill (which is the normal dosage you start at). The doc said (I called him) that he would be willing to try the chlomid again in a few months when my insurance started again. I told him about the non-coverage for the infertility and he was like, can you pay what they dont cover out of your pocket? I said at the cost that it is for those pills, no way. Including the fact that I would be taking 3 pills thats 150mg. I WAS on 100mg. You have to win the lottory or be rich any ways to do this without insurance.... 1 round of Invitro is about $5,000 (a friend of mine had to pay out of pocket for it and was nice enough to let me know. They used thier tax refunds ontop of taking equity out in thier house and was lucky enough it took on the first try). Thats just the procedure, thats not including the blood work and other things you have to go through with it. SOME of the test are covered, pending on the insurance company. Not all of them if you dont' have infertility coverage.
*sigh*
“...So do we pass the ghosts that haunt us later in our lives; they sit undramatically by the roadside like poor beggars, and we see them only from the corners of our eyes, if we see them at all. The idea that they have been waiting there for us rarely if ever crosses our minds. Yet they do wait, and when we have passed, they gather up their bundles of memory and fall in behind, treading in our footsteps and catching up, little by little.”--Stephen King
