so after all the hype about Cloverfield it is undeniably a dissapointment. The trailers pretty much show you the best part of the movie. Below is just 1 of the trailers out there. Click on the link for the one that frequented the TV networks and what we saw in the Theatres the last time we went.
the other dissapointment of the week would have to be the new "Dark Knight" ride at 6 flags (we went last sunday). It was seriously lame. And even tho that "Batman The Ride" the one that is outside and you go flipping upside down was really awesome.....it had no "theme" to Batman so that was a bit of a letdown...It's just got the Batman name on the ride. Unless you count the black painted rollercoaster?
Now the ride that was NOT a dissapointment and was UBER fun and I almost didn't get on is the Superman... Altho nothing about it except the name could tell you it was a Superman man ride it was the most amazing and intense ride. When you initially get on your sitting with your feet dangling and then they strap in your legs and your arms/chest area. After your all secured they draw you back and your literally laying like your on your stomach but in mid air. You goforwards and backwards and upside down and loops and twists and turns and you go so close to the people waiting in line you feel like you could reach out and touch the tops of thier heads. Now THAT ride was not a dissapointment at all... 2 people actually vomited while we were on it. The 1st car infront of us as they were unloading and someone behind us while we were waiting to unload. It was uber gross. I am surpised I didn't do a sympathy gag or vomit myself but I had nothing in stomach so I was all good!
We also did the "Vertical Velocity" which is a ride that shoots you like a bullet at 70 mph and you go straight up in the air and twist then you flash backwards and go straight up in the air again... you do this like 4 times? And each time you get higher and higher, your in for an intense feeling with this ride!
Ok that's all for now! Those 2 rides made up for "Dark Knight" being lame. Hell the whole day did and we're just happy that we did "DK" first so we got the dissapointment overwith for the day!
“...So do we pass the ghosts that haunt us later in our lives; they sit undramatically by the roadside like poor beggars, and we see them only from the corners of our eyes, if we see them at all. The idea that they have been waiting there for us rarely if ever crosses our minds. Yet they do wait, and when we have passed, they gather up their bundles of memory and fall in behind, treading in our footsteps and catching up, little by little.”--Stephen King

Wow that's such a bummer that you didn't like Cloverfield. I was scared shitless in that movie (I'm a sissy) and I actually liked it. Bummer.
ReplyDeletei will say that it did have its good moments, like when thier climbing the stairs of the adjacent building to get into the one girl's building to rescue her. I was a little on the edge of my seat during that scene but the whole home video cam thing... it just seemed too much like Blair Witch Project (the first one).
ReplyDeletethey should make a 2nd version with a steadicam for those of us who find the "home cam" motion a bit annoying and frustrating.
