i'm home alone and i'm watching Salem's Lot which is the 2004 movie adaptation of the Stephen King novel Salem's Lot. The book I have. The book I've read many many times. HOWEVER, even tho I've had this book for years and I've read it about 10 times and I should know it front to back, I'm still watching this "horror" movie in the middle of night by myself..... I've actually drawn all the shades and locked all windows and doors. Yes, I fear Vampires... The "bad" vampires..I believe there can be "good" vampires but this book/movie doesn't involve the good ones.
This reminds me of the night that I decided to watch the new Chainsaw Massacre in the middle of the night while waiting for Hephaestus to come home and nearly wacked him the head with a baseball bat.
I guess I have an affection for watching scary movies alone in the middle of the night to frighten myself.
“...So do we pass the ghosts that haunt us later in our lives; they sit undramatically by the roadside like poor beggars, and we see them only from the corners of our eyes, if we see them at all. The idea that they have been waiting there for us rarely if ever crosses our minds. Yet they do wait, and when we have passed, they gather up their bundles of memory and fall in behind, treading in our footsteps and catching up, little by little.”--Stephen King
