it was fairly interesting. alot more accounting than administrative i think. but i'm sure that once i get the hang of the accounting i'll have other duties as assigned and that's wha she said. the office manager (who has only been there a week herself, she's still in training, the lady she's replacing is leaving friday) is a really nice woman and she said that once i feel that i'm comfortable with the 2 programs (i've never used them before myself and neither has she) then we'll move on to other stuff. which is cool. i like her. the gal that i'm replacing got a "promotion" of sorts and is now in another part of the company. but she's always available if i have questions or issues, she said. I think that once i get settled, then I'll be a great asset to thier company. they already told me to feel free to rearrainge my desk and other stuff, how i keep them, etc to suit how i'm comfortable. when we move into the new building next month they said i'll be all by myself in the front alone. that's fine by me. i have no problem with that at all.
other than that, today went fine. and my man is here i'm gonna go eat.
“...So do we pass the ghosts that haunt us later in our lives; they sit undramatically by the roadside like poor beggars, and we see them only from the corners of our eyes, if we see them at all. The idea that they have been waiting there for us rarely if ever crosses our minds. Yet they do wait, and when we have passed, they gather up their bundles of memory and fall in behind, treading in our footsteps and catching up, little by little.”--Stephen King
