ah ok much better... doubt i'll be hungry when my baby gets home but my stomach isn't screaming anymore, atleast.
so i made a stupid fucking mistake lastnight and it nearly cost me my man. lets just say that i had a momentary lapse in commonsense, did something i really shouldn't have done. was a total jerk. *slaps self* you can be an idiot sometimes you know that, Jenny? but we ended up talking things through (a man who will talk through problems and questions, he's a godsend), went out for dinner (which i paid for cuz i was such a jerkoff), came home and made love. i love my Taranis! he still wants me to have his babies. i'm the luckiest woman in the world.
Express got me a temp job, today thru friday. its not the funnest thing in the world but its money. helping file payroll & employee files. i say helping but you know what i mean. i got all that done about 20 mins after lunch, that's when i finished. then they were going to have me create job jackets for future new employees but they hadn't gotten some form approved by thier attorneys so i didn't do that. instead i created labels and labeled these hanging file folders and folders that go in them for "current" new employees. the way they go about thier filing system makes no sense to me at all. i guess every company has thier own filing system for payroll and stuff. instead of having different folders inside the one hanging i'd get a folder that had 6 or however many is needed sections and file em all in 1 thing. #1 it'd take less time; #2 you'd save more money; #3 it'd be alot easier. But it's not my company and just because TheFirm did something one way doesn't mean that all other companies is going to do it that way as well... Just makes no sense to me why they have so much waiste. You'd think SOMEONE would say "HEY! there is a cheaper way of doing this, folks!" but as my position as a temp its not my place or voice to say anything...
Which leads me to if I was boss I'd fire everyone of em. The items that they wanted me to file. Shit if they spent 10 mins (not even maybe even 5 minutes) at the end of the day and filed these papers, it'd not get as crazy as I saw it today. Another thing: some of those employee labels they were having me create and stuff: they had october hiring dates! OCTOBER! I just don't get it. That is one ill run company. There are 4 ladies in the payroll/accounting section. They have another girl who is thier helper and they call on the receptionist to help as well. There is no reason and no excuse why this crap is so far behind. Some of those folks who were hired and thier just now creating thier employee files for were terminated or quit already. I don't get it. I just don't get it... But they stand around and gossip and gab gab gab alot. The whole freaking company that I've seen stands around "the water cooler" and just chit chats. Thankfully this is just a 3 day thing or else I think I'd quit as well.
ok that's enough of my bitching and complaining. Taranis has a point, its money. so my "its money" working bum is going to veg in front of the tv until my darling gets home... see ya!

If that sort of thing drives you nuts, maybe I shouldn't be nosing around the state for any openings. Some people with gov't jobs seem to view that as a feature rather than a bug in the system.
ReplyDeleteI know couples who seem to fight a lot - apparently just of r the extra excitement of make-up sex. It doesn't entirely make sense to me (but I dislike any uneccesary conflict at home - in part because no slight is ever forgotten there).
