Stephen King

Ever wonder what would happen if we had a war, nuclear something so devastating all of the world as we know it would completely cease to exist? Just read the Dark Tower series. You wouldn't have to wonder hard at all.

King is a brilliant writer. Dark Tower is not your typical series when you think of King. But it will scare you into wondering if you will survive the Mutants and mishappen unfortunate souls who were unlucky enough to get hit with the fall out of whatever it was that exactly happened to the world that caused it to move on.

It will definatly make you think and wonder what we are birthing our children and thier future children into.

I love this series so much that I am starting to read it again. I'm close to finishing the last chapter of the Waste Lands which is book 3 in the series. I have been dying to read the Dark Tower series for years but would never let myself because of the agony of not being able to go 'book to book' if I found it in interest. Which of course I did because there has not been One book of King's that I've read that I have not absolutely loved.

In 2004 King finally finished the last 2 books of this series. In early 2005 they were released in the cheap $5 soft back covers. I had been slowly reading through the first 5 books anticipating when I'd get the last 2.

Since there was a gap of about 3 months between book 4 (Wizard & Glass) and 5 (Wolves of the Calla) and a few more months gap between it and Song of Susannah (book 6) ontop of being medicated heavily with the back injury during the reading of book 7 (Dark Tower) I'm learning and realizing things that I hadn't before.

Reading this series again is absolutely wonderful. I wish it didn't end, tho. Its a tale I believe that should ever end. And those of you who have read the final book know why I say this. And I don't want to spoil it for those who havn't. Just know this, your going for the surprise of your life! And you'll be a little upset with King for ending it the way he did. I know I was! So reading the story over again is my way of continuing the Gunslinger's quest for the Dark Tower.

In away, we all have our own "DARK TOWERS". People I have noticed interpret this set of books in vastly different ways.

Stephen King, I love your work. You are true story teller and One I'm sure even Roland of Gilead would love to sit down with next to a camp fire and exchange tales with. I know I would!

Keep up the awesome work and know this, you have a fan for life in me. You are my absolutely favorite author of all time. No one compares to you in my eyes. I've read just about everything that you have wrote and those that I havn't read are really hard finds. Those that I have read its been more than once and in alot of cases like Gerald's Game and others like Desperation over 10 times.
