Raising Cats

#1- You can't buy the cheapshit litter. I've tried to tell my mom that for ages. That that is the reason as to why her house smells like catshit and piss. Its because of the cheapo litter she uses. Sometimes thier are things you cannot skimp money on. Kitty Litter is one of them. I recommend people use Arm&Hammer Multi-Cat Strength with thier Deodorizer. Works wonders. I have never had the 'cat smell' until Shuman came back and mom started using that cheap stuff in shuman's litter box. Unfortunatly my room is off the laundry room where both litter boxes are, and I cannot stand the stench no more. I scoop the freakin boxes everyday, but it doesn't help if you use cheap litter.

#2- You can't use an open litter box. Male cats especially like to pee 'standing' like a male human, they don't squat. And thier piss goes everywhere. You need a covered Litter box. especially one with a filter. Filters are a necessity. Change it once a month and your gold.

#3- If the vet gives a specific formulae to feed your cats you better damn well use it. The vet knows what he's talking about. Thier is 3 different kinds of Cat food (same brand, diff formulae) that my vet recommends for my 2 babies. 1 large bag of X, Med bag of Y and a small bag of Z. Mix those together with 5 bags (thier small, really small) of Tarter Control treats and your gold. My med bag of cat food is Hairball control, I need it because of Mysterie. She's a furry little bitch. The small bag is a really expensive extra dose of vitamins. Its good for both Drake and Mysterie but its mostly for her. You can't just feed cats differently because, well, they eat when they want to. Thier not like dogs where you can seperate em during dinner time. So my vet said to mix em all together and tada. I've noticed that since I didn't have the money for her hairball formulae she's been coughing them up ALOT. And it sucks ass.

I love my babies, obviously. I do everything that the vet tells us to do with them. I never stray from what he says. I'm an over protective mother to my cats and I'm damn sure I'll be over protective with my kids (with the hope I have some one day).
