Wow and more Wow!

Well, nothing has really changed since I last updated this thing... Crystal tried to goto court yesterday to have him involuntarily admitted, and they wouldn't take my statement without me being there. SO, we were going to go do that today, to have him forcefully admitted since he wasn't willing to be admitted and his Pastor and his brother said, Let us give it a shot. And sure enough, he is being voluntarily admitted as we speak. HOWEVER, he doesn't want to stay any longer than Tuesday morning and he may very well have to. SO, we have him in there. And we'll see what happens. If I am understanding this correctly, once we get him in there and the DRs say he needs to be in there longer, then they can detain him. I just want him to get help. I hate seeing Crystal going through this having to admit her dad into, has he puts it, "a loony bin". So, I dont know.. We'll see.

Depending on all what happens, I could be home within a week to 3 weeks (Raquel's Graduation is May 20th so I'll be leaving for home about the 17th and comming back around the 28th if needed).

Some good news on the horizon tho, We went and looked at a Retirement Community. Its not an assisted living like the other places we've been looking it. You have your own apartment, they range from Small Studio to Large Studio and 1 Bed apts (kitchen/living in the 1bd). Its MUCH more reasonable on the prices than the other places. With the other places he was paying for Care and Services that he, hopefully, wouldn't need for quite sometime in the far future. He's very mobile and can live kinda on his own. He needs assistance Medication wise, someone to refill his pill box and to keep an eye on him, he is on Oxygen. And this place we looked at today is perfect for that. It is basically apartments designed for the elderly to live on thier own. The other places were glorified nursing homes. After he gets out of the hospital, he is going to stay there for a week or so on "respite" which is a trial run. If he likes it, he will put in for what kind of apartment he wants and what levels of care he needs. They have a 24 hour nuring staff on board for those who need more care and assistance than others. It costs more, but he doesn't need it yet.

So, anyways I'm waiting for Crystal to get back. I dont know what the plan is for today when she gets back here.

Love you all and bye
